About LeadingCyber

Security leadership is learned. LeadingCyber exists to share it.

LeadingCyber helps leaders make better decisions about cyber risk, and helps security professionals grow into the leaders their organizations need.

Why we exist

Most security leaders were never taught to lead.

They were promoted for technical skill, then handed budgets, boards and teams, often in the middle of a crisis. The gap between knowing security and leading it is where most programs struggle.

LeadingCyber closes that gap. Through executive advisory, speaking and leadership development, we help executives understand cyber risk in business terms and help security professionals lead with confidence.

What we believe

Four principles behind everything we do.

01

Clarity over jargon

If leaders can't understand the risk, they can't decide on it. We speak business, not acronyms.

02

Decisions over documents

Policies and reports matter only when they change what people do. We measure work by the decisions it enables.

03

People before tools

Technology is necessary but never enough. Resilient organizations invest in people and process first.

04

Community over broadcast

The best lessons come from practitioners. We pull knowledge from the community instead of pushing content at it.
